Plastic Oceans International is a non-profit organisation that embraces a solutions-focused approach to build a healthier planet for all. We work to foster sustainable communities worldwide in order to end plastic pollution. We operate with the belief that we can and must act locally in order to create and inspire change on a global scale, and we do so through four key programs of activity: Education, Activism, Advocacy and Science.
Through supportive projects aligned with our programs, and driven by embracing the circular economy, our mission is to inspire and incite action that can lead to changes in consumer behaviour, corporate practices and public policy.
Trees & Seas
The Trees & Seas Festival is a global 10-day event that works toward connecting forest and ocean conservation efforts to emphasize that we are multiple communities that make-up one planet, one environment, and in the end, one global community united in our effort to foster a healthier and more just planet for all. During Trees & Seas, we have the highest concentration of events such as cleanups, film screenings, workshops, panels, art events, and tree planting!
All of the data about participants, clean-ups etc. gets put on the Trees & Seas website www.treesandseas.earth to show the world how much change we can do together!
