Another Country’s mission is to be a responsible, purposeful and respected company fit for the 21st century
Born in Dorset in 2010, Another Country is a company that designs and makes contemporary wood furniture and accessories for the home.
Their
designs are inspired by archetype, calling on the familiar and unpretentious forms of British country vernacular, Shaker, traditional Scandinavian and Japanese woodwork for inspiration. They endeavour to re-interpret the spirit and functionality of these honest forms of furniture for a modern customer, and their designs have been recognised with multiple industry awards, including six prestigious Design Guild Mark Awards.
Their
products are made to order in workshops across the UK and Europe. Many of the products are designed in house, but they also have longstanding relationships
with talented British designers such as David Irwin, Daniel Schofield, Fred Rigby and Aaron Probyn.
Another Country has been carbon-neutral since 2020, and running their business sustainably has been the driving force behind everything they do. They pioneered the development of natural upholstery materials, championed the notion of a healthy, natural home free of chemicals, and continually strive to improve how they make, design and source materials.

Another Country have opened a new showroom in Dorset, located at Chaldicott Barns in Semley, on the outskirts of Shaftesbury.
