ALGÂU is the result of research exploring local seaweed's potential in Pembrokeshire, Wales, followed by material experimentation and product development. The design reflects its beach origins with the lampshade shaped and cast on the sand to make the prototype. A blend of seaweed combined with waste paper yields a robust texture akin to cork, with tactile warmth and subtle hints of the sea within.
