Wave of Light candle:
In memory of Edward
We are so proud to be supporting Teddy’s Wish, our official charity partner, and to share the story behind the Wave of Light candle created with our friends at True Grace for Baby Loss Awareness Week.
Teddy’s Wish was founded by my sister Jennifer and her husband Chris after the devastating loss of their baby boy, Edward. Edward was my nephew. He died when he was just three months old, and although his time with us was heartbreakingly short, he brought such love and joy to our family. Teddy’s Wish was created in his memory, to honour his life and to support other families living with the unimaginable pain of losing a child.
The Wave of Light candle is a way to remember those precious babies who are no longer with us. Available in True Grace’s much-loved scents, Moroccan Rose and Fig, it is designed to be a lasting, refillable tribute. Families can also choose to have their candle engraved with a name, creating a deeply personal keepsake to treasure.
Baby Loss Awareness Week takes place from 9–15 October and ends with the global Wave of Light. At 7pm local time, families around the world light candles in remembrance of every baby gone too soon. By lighting the Wave of Light candle, we join together in love, creating a chain of light and memory that encircles the globe.
All profits from the candle will be donated to Teddy’s Wish, helping to fund vital research into the causes of baby loss and provide support for grieving families.
For me, this cause is deeply personal. It is for Edward — my beautiful nephew — for Jennifer and Chris, and for every family who carries the memory of a baby in their heart.
Thank you for your support,

About Teddy’s Wish
Teddy’s Wish was founded by Jen and Chris Reid to honour the memory of their beloved baby boy Edward Louis Reid who was just three months old when he became a victim of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome(SIDS).
There was no medical reason or attributable cause as to why Eddy died –and by all medical accounts, he was a perfectly healthy baby boy.
Teddy’s Wish was set up in 2014 with two founding principles: to fund potentially life-saving research into the causes of SIDS, neonatal death and stillbirth and to provide support for bereaved parents.
