In conversation with Big Dreams Little Footprints
“The climate emergency can be overwhelming for people but we can all do something, however small, to improve the situation.”
On Planted Unearthed we’ve spent the past year exploring how design, architecture, sustainability, food production and nature can combine to create cleaner, healthier spaces.
And a constant theme of our conversations has been waste and how we can reduce it on an industrial scale.
With Christmas fast approaching there is huge pressure on us all to buy “stuff” which people often don’t need when a far more beneficial gift, especially with restrictions in place around meeting loved ones, would be our love and kindness.
So we were delighted to be approached out of the blue by a lady called Anya Hart Dyke who is a running a campaign called Big Dreams Little Footprints for parents to inspire and guide their children to stand up for nature and their communities.
This Sunday December 6, Anya is calling on people across the UK to climb a hill – dressed appropriately in festive attire – and pledge to give the gift of time this Christmas before sending a photo to info@bigdreamslittlefootprints.org.
